   Excellent photos. We have a few herons around this neck of the woods, but I’ve never gotten a shot like that!

   Great heron shots! They really are pretty birds even if they do look a tad odd.

     They really look odd when they are trying to swallow a 3 foot long eel. Saw it happen in 2006, but very foggy and the pictures were blah.

   Excellent captures – I like herons in general but the great blue the best.
